This last week has been a really difficult one for me. A week ago today my friend Sarah Thorn, who was only 25 years old, passed away from a stroke while she was hiking with her best friend. She was a pro at living life to its fullest, and I knew that about her the first time I ever met her. She was just a beautiful soul, and I really looked forward to getting to know her better and to get to hang out more and go out and do the things that I have always wanted to do with a friend. She loved music, nature, and all of the people who loved her too, and more. Sarah wanted to change the world, and she changed mine. Her dying has made me a little less scared of death, because I can still feel her with me. Although she won't be physically hiking with me this summer, riding her bike with me to work, or even marching like a penguin with me I still think she is going to be doing the things she loved with all of us until we meet her again in the next life. It is still really sad, but she is lucky that she went without a long fight, and she was doing what she loved with one of her best friends...
To wrap up the long week of loss Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson both died

Two incredible icons that touched many generations through their contributions to pop culture.
What a week.
